The Town of Clifton sits just 30 miles from DC yet seems part of a different time. As the town website puts it, “historic Clifton harkens back to a time when… well, back to a time when people were probably a little more used to expressions like harkens back.” I’m not sure that I can put it better than that.
Clifton was the first of only 3 incorporated town in Fairfax County. The two other incorporated towns in the county are Herndon and Vienna. Town leaders and residents have worked hard to preserve the many historic landmarks around town and at the same time managed to maintain the small town feel that everyone seems to love.
It’s a small town but there always something going on. The popular outdoor festival Clifton Day was launched in 1967, and it’s still going strong to this day. There’s also the annual Labor Day Antique Car Show, the Clifton Spring Homes Tour sponsored by the Woman’s Club, and the Clifton Wine Festival to keep everyone busy throughout the year. I built my first Virginia home in Clifton so the Town of Clifton will always hold a very special place in my heart.
I’ve devoted a lot of energy to appreciating what the Northern Virginia area offers and can communicate that effectively to both buyers and sellers. More than 10 years ago, I relocated to Northern Virginia from Massachusetts, so I know first hand the challenges of moving to a new area and finding a home. With more than a decade of experience buying and selling land and building homes in the area, I’ve acquired a solid understanding of local property values. To keep that information fresh, I regularly compile my own set of Northern Virginia real estate market statistics.
As a licensed Class A builder, I know how to shop for new homes, re-sale homes, and land. That experience lets me catch something that might otherwise be overlooked, and what’s overlooked can be costly. My construction background also helps me to effectively represent sellers by being able to respond to concerns from prospective buyers. Sprinkled throughout these pages, you’ll find more information about me or the value I can bring to your next real estate transaction, but here are a few highlights:
- I don’t use a “canned” approach because every transaction and every property is unique;
- I have more than 10 years of home construction and real estate experience;
- I’m internet savvy and promote my listings across the internet, on unique websites, and with targeted online advertising;
If you’d just like to spend some time viewing properties on-line, I’ve set up a handy property search feature. You can check out real estate listings of homes for sale using a convenient map-based tool.
When you’re ready to take your property search to the next step or to discuss listing your home for sale, give me a call at 703-608-4004 or send me an email. Of course, all of that is on my contact page, but it never hurts to repeat it.
